For book club we just finished reading "The Heavenly Man" by Brother Yun.
It has an amazing message of hope and joy in times of persecution. For some of those in attendance the persecution was the overall theme but I found myself excited at how God sustains a Christian during overwhelming circumstances.
There is hope in the midst of trials!

This is a terrific book that is very inspiring. At a time when many Christians are lackadaisical about their church and faith, it is eye opening to know that Christians around the world are suffering and dying for their faith. It was exciting to read about the miracles that the Chinese Christians experienced.
Also inspiring was their determination to spread the gospel from China to Jerusalem and through the Muslim countries. Since they knew persecution they
would be able to withstand the hardships of witnessing in those countries. - Joanne
